Artist's Comments

A remainder of apparatus,
or an apparatus of remainders.
Our windows face parallel
while the direction to freedom has always been up.
A casual glance out sees only
pipes, wires, chains, shackles
means of entrapment.
The vantage that sees above limits
is most often beyond footing;
since floors are almost always accompanied by ceilings,
we stand below a limit rather than on top of a foundation.
The perfect error, however, for a system of relentless commodification, is the very thing that allows for the perception of its own lack.
A parallax departure from rectilinear predications
is observable only by extension
beyond the intentional delineations of
ceilings, floors, walls, fences, signs, gates, bars, and boundaries.
But while the limits of structure leave an incomplete remainder,,
there can be no lack where there is nothing asserted,
but no understanding of lack where there is no error.

It looks like a gateway in Serenity :D

Great depth of field. The graduation from darkness to the light at the end is perfection.

nice find. and cool play with light. I find myself wanting to see more though - maybe a slight boost in the exposure perhaps?

I love the angle and the lack of color. It makes me feel like I'm trapped in an elevator shaft.

This is a really neat picture! I like the depth of it, perfectly simplistic.

Somebody told me how frightening it was how much topsoil we lose everyyear, but i told that story around the campfire and nobody got scared.
